About Liz Jones

Liz Jones (she/her), Owner, MSW, LCSW, SAC-IT, has worked in the mental health, substance abuse, and criminal justice fields for 15+ years. She has experience working with youth in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting and at schools. She has worked with adults in an inpatient substance abuse, detoxification, and treatment center. She has experience with clients involved in the criminal justice system, with populations who have been abused, oppressed, and marginalized, and with people with severe and persistent mental illness and chronic substance abuse struggles. This array of experience has given her the ability to see life from many angles, understand the complex nature of trauma and its effects, as well as provided her unique learning opportunities to become a well rounded therapist and service provider.

Specialized training/experience includes: Complex Trauma, Mental Health Counseling, Substance Use Disorder Counseling, Dual Diagnosis, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Domestic Violence, and Sexual Assault. Liz has experience and inside working knowledge of schools, jails, courts, hospitals, county and state systems and agencies.

Her practice pulls from numerous theories and is always strengths based, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and non-judgmental.
