About Dan Shalit

Daniel Shalit (he/him), MSW, APSW, SAC, has worked in the mental health and substance abuse field for six years. The majority of Daniel’s experience is in providing wrap-around case management services in Dane County for individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental illness, homelessness, and those who were formerly incarcerated. He also has experience providing individual substance abuse counseling, facilitating group substance abuse and anger management sessions for adult men involved with the criminal justice system, and supporting individuals in a mental health crisis. 

Daniel strives to empower clients to lead their own recovery through a hands-on community-based approach centered around client strengths, while using trauma informed practices, collaborative problem solving, and motivational interviewing.
